With the rise of companies digitisation (eg working from “anywhere”, e-commerce etc), the Gig Economy has been gaining a lot of attention and it has now become the New Norm of Work!
Well, the Gig Economy (or the Uberisation of work as Forbes called it) is simply, a free market system where the transactions are task or project-based and the freelancers work independently without being bound to long-term contracts with any company, as opposed to permanent jobs.
The Malaysian Gig Economy is set to bring in US$7 trillion by 2025 as the industry is rapidly growing with the highly sought-after jobs such as consulting, software programming, automation, engineering, machine learning, data analytics, accounting etc.
With the recent “Stay at home again” and the companies restructuring bandwagon effect, we are conducting a small survey on Gig economy. This would be very helpful
